WIFAMA has been recognized for their ethos in which caring for the environment and sustainable development are not just empty words.
A few months ago, the Company’s Management Board decided to start negotiations with energy producers and suppliers to obtain energy only from renewable sources, in particular from solar, wind and biogas.
This direction, with the unconditional support of the new owners of WIFAMA, is completely consistent with the responsible business policies adopted by the Management Board. Financial results are very important to us, but an equally important area in the development of the company is the need to take care of the environment around us. We fully identify with the guidelines included in the ESG directive (E-Environmental, S-Social, G-Governance).
Today’s announcement confirms in practice that our actions are another step closer towards meeting all recommendations, so that in the near future, we can say that WIFAMA belongs to a select group of companies that can boast of applying all the principles indicated in the ESG directive.
Therefore, we are pleased to announce that from July 1, 2024, all electricity consumed by our plants will come exclusively from renewable sources. This will be confirmed by the so-called “guarantees of origin” in an amount equal to all energy purchased and consumed.
This also entails benefits for our subtenants who use the electricity purchased by WIFAMA. All of our subtenants will be powered 100% exclusively by “green” energy.
We are convinced that the actions we have taken will have a positive impact not only on our business but also on the business of our customers and tenants.
